Today is International Day of Happiness and it’s also the First Day of Spring this year! It feels surreal to this of Happiness in a time with so much uncertainty, but this is the perfect time to do so. Did you know that you can find happiness in the little things of your daily life? Doing this will help you maintain your positivity sharp by staying mindful and focussed throughout the day on these things. If you fall to the stress and negativity, cabin fever get the best of you, or you feel overwhelmed, take a deep breath, look at what is going well, what made you smile, and take note of this. Do this often and you will see how noticing the little things that bring you happiness and joy can make a huge impact on your day!
This Spring, the flowers won’t be the only things that bloom, you will too. I challenge you to pause and take note of 5 to 10 little things that bring you happiness throughout your day. Do this as they happen in a notebook or on the notes app on your phone. At the end of your day, look back and reflect on its impact.
